Orange County Specific Rules/Operations:

In most cases, you will need an Orange County Probate Attorney. Probate administration in Orange County, Florida is substantially the same as most of the other counties although some of the local rules and customs may differ, as set forth below:

  • Standard E-filing Rules apply
  • Original Wills and exemplified/certified copies should be directly mailed to the clerk’s office
  • Copy requests to the following address unless it is a recorded document:
    Orange County Clerk of Courts 
    Attn: Probate Room 350
    425 N. Orange Ave.
    Orlando FL  32801
  • Clerk’s Office redacts death certificates by default
  • Even if Will already on deposit, file as a new case (new case number)
  • File Notice of Trust within the probate filing (not separately)
  • Send the proposed orders through the e-portal
  • Response time varies between 20-45 days on average depending on petition type and content
